Step 2: Programming
SumoBot Upgrades:
Simple SumoBot - Single Hook
This model replaces the front ramp on the Simple SumoBot with a single hook. The hook is powered by a medium EV3 motor, which fits neatly between the two large driving motors. A worm gear setup used in this model is taken from Dr H's Think-Along. It achieves a gear ratio of 24:1, which results in a slow moving hook with the torque needed to lift an opponent.
The hook can be programmed to either move constantly during battle OR only lift when the frontal ultrasonic sensor detects the enemy.

Program the Single Hook to Move using Ultrasonic Sensor
